Presents findings from the 1990, 1992, and 1994 State Court Processing Statistics (SCPS) program, as well as juvenile court data collected by the National Center for Juvenile Justice (NCJJ). In the Nation's 75 largest counties, juvenile felony defendants tried as adults in criminal courts are compared with defendants formally processed in juvenile courts. Findings are presented on offense characteristics, pretrial release and detention, offender demographics, adjudication outcomes, and sentencing. The first report in this series, Juveniles Prosecuted in State Criminal Courts, NCJ 164265, was published jointly with OJJDP in March 1997.
