Data Collection: Survey of State Attorneys General Offices

The Survey of State Attorneys General was designed to collect data on special topic areas. The first survey in the series addressed jurisdiction over white-collar crime. Because the roles and responsibilities of attorneys general vary by state, the survey was a census of the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Methodology

The survey collected data from the attorneys general offices from the 50 states and the District of Columbia. The primary mode of data collection was web survey, though hard copies were provided upon request.
